Finished it this past week.
Been doing a lot of dim & hazy stuff at work lately and wanted to get away from that for a change. I sort of forced myself not to hide things in dark silhouettes, just to see how it work out. It was more difficult than I thought, but fun nonetheless.

I've been playing around with the idea of this character for a while now, and he has appeared in my paintings quite a few times lately . This is an attempt to further flesh out his look. I think at this point it's pretty clear to me that he'd be a dark creature, and I want that aspect to show through, even in broad daylight.

Did this as a tutorial for Zoo Publishing's 2Dartist magazine a while back. It was the first time I had to explain my work process. (if there is such a thing...) It's surprising how erratic my thoughts can be when I paint...

Hi folks,
Finished this a few days ago. I haven't had the chance to do a "grand" scene for quite some time now, so that sort of got me going on this piece. Even though it's daylight, I still wanted a touch of creepiness to this village surrounding an ancient ruin. All comments are most welcome
